Pet Personality:  Phoebes is bold and adventurous.  She is a climber of all vertical surfaces.  A high shelf is a challenge she loves to attempt.  She is also very athletic, loving to leap from those high places onto the shoulders of her foster mom.  This can be somewhat disconcerting and painful if her claws need trimming.  The leaps are not done with malice, she just likes the view from a shoulder and also likes to rub against your head.  But she is heavy enough that her leaps would be a little much for small children.  She also has a tendency to nibble in play.  This has gotten less with time, but she still does it on ocassion. She does get along great with other cats.  While she is a busy girl, she is nice about not pestering the older cats in her foster home.  She would be fine in a home with older children or a busy household.  She is just a little too rough though for small children.

Pet Bio: Phoebe is a lovely, active 7 month old kitten  (born first part of September 2010).  She has been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP (three rounds)/Rabies and microchipped.  ARC got Phoebe from a couple who found her crawling around in the dirt when she was less than a week old.  Her mama cat must have been moving kittens around and misplaced Miss Phoebe.  The couple took her in, but had trouble getting her to eat.  That's when they brought her to ARC.  She's been with us ever since and has grown into a affectionate kitten.  She is a busy girl, but she will get in your lap for a nap.  Phoebe gets along great with other cats.  If you would be interested in adding Phoebe to your family, please send us an e-mail at animalrescuecarolina@yahoo.com.  We'll get back to you as soon as possible.
