Griffin was found wandering through a downtown neighborhood. He'd been out on the streets for awhile. He'd developed a serious case of heartworms and was 15 pounds underweight. He is an older dog and is a border collie/retriever mix. He is such a sweet dog. He's been so very good about everything that has had to be done to him. He follows his foster mom around the house like a gentle shadow and is so appreciative of any attention. He is housetrained likes cats and rides in the car. He is a very well behaved dog and affectionate. He likes walks and walks well on the leash. Giving this dog a home will bring you pleasure:) His heartworm has been treated. He will probably have to be on a pill a day for the rest of his life ( which is easy to give) because of residual damage. Although he has issues that you associate with an older dog he deserves a good home and can have a quality of life. email us at animalrescuecarolina@yahoo.com to ask about Griffin.
